New users who are starting to use the POC CNA portal should first understand what the system is designed for. The POC (Proof of Concept) CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) login provides access to a secure environment where you can view patient assignments, record care activities, submit documentation, and communicate with supervisors. The platform is built to streamline daily nursing assistant tasks while maintaining compliance with health‑care regulations and privacy standards.

To gain access, you will receive a welcome email from the administrator that contains your unique user ID and a temporary password. The first time you log in, you will be prompted to change this password to something private and strong. A strong password typically includes a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters, and it should be at least eight characters long. After setting your new password, you will be asked to select security questions that will help recover your account if you forget your credentials later.

When you arrive at the login page, type your user ID exactly as it appears in the email, then enter your new password. If you encounter an error stating that the credentials are invalid, double‑check that caps lock is off and that you have not accidentally added a space before or after the password. If the problem persists, use the “Forgot Password” link to receive a password‑reset code via the email address on file. Follow the instructions in that email to create a new password and regain access.

Once logged in, take a moment to explore the dashboard. The main screen shows your scheduled shifts, recent patient notes, and any alerts that require your attention. Familiarize yourself with the navigation icons for entering Vital Signs, completing care plans, and uploading documentation. The system automatically saves entries as you work, but it is good practice to click the “Submit” button at the end of each task to ensure the information is recorded in the central database.

Security is a top priority on the POC CNA platform. Always log out at the end of each session, especially if you are using a shared computer. The system will automatically log you out after a period of inactivity, but manually logging out reduces the chance of unauthorized access. Do not share your login credentials with anyone, and avoid writing them down where others might see them. If you suspect that your account has been compromised, contact the IT support team immediately.

If you run into technical issues such as the portal loading slowly, unexpected error messages, or difficulty uploading files, first try clearing your browser cache and restarting the browser. The POC CNA portal works best with the latest versions of Chrome, Edge, or Firefox. Should the problem continue, reach out to the help desk using the contact information provided in the “Support” section of the portal. Include details such as the time of the issue, the actions you performed before the error, and any error codes displayed, so the support staff can resolve the problem quickly.
