Gimkit is a fun and interactive quiz platform that can be used for review, assessments, or just a quick game to keep students engaged. Getting started is easy, and once the initial setup is complete, joining a game takes only a few seconds for each participant.

First, visit the Gimkit website and sign up for a free teacher account using an email address or a Google login. After confirming the account, log in and click the “Create” button to start a new kit. Choose a ready‑made kit from the library or build a custom one by adding questions, images, and timers. When you are happy with the content, hit the “Save” button and then select “Assign”. In the assignment screen you will see options for “Live” and “Homework”. Choose “Live” if you want students to join a game in real time. The platform will generate a unique game code that appears on the screen.

Share this code with your class. The easiest way is to display it on a projector, write it on a digital slide, or post it in a chat message. Students should go to the Gimkit website or open the mobile app, click “Join”, and type in the code. After entering the code they will see the game lobby and can choose a nickname before the teacher starts the round. Once the teacher presses “Start”, the timer begins and the quiz launches for everyone.

If you need to run a second round or a different set of questions, simply repeat the process: create or select another kit, assign it as a live game, and provide the new code. The platform also lets you review results after each round, so you can see which concepts were mastered and which might need more attention. By keeping the steps straightforward and sharing the code clearly, every student can join without confusion, making Gimkit a hassle‑free tool for interactive learning.
